Thuraya Launches Crew Calling Solution
Thuraya
announces the full-scale launch of its Crew Calling
solution which is based on Thuraya's popular prepaid
concept “Call for all”.
Thuraya's
Crew Calling solution offers a complete solution for
the maritime industry by addressing the difficulties
faced by mariners who are at sea cut off from family
and friends for long periods of time.
Thuraya's
Crew Calling Solution consists of Thuraya's SeaOne maritime
unit and optional dialer that allows an access to dedicated
crew-calling numbers only . Thuraya's ‘ Call for
all' prepaid cards enables multiple users to share one
handset with each individual maintaining their own prepaid
account.
On
the occasion of the launch of the Thuraya's Crew Calling
Solution, Mr. Yousuf Al Sayed, Thuraya's CEO stated:

By
using Thuraya's ‘Call for all' cards, seafarers
will be able to monitor their call expenditures, maintain
privacy and have the convenience to make calls at any
time at "budget-fit" tariffs. In addition,
the Thuraya crew calling solution provides the owners
with hassle-free administration of tracking calls, an
option to share one phone as a communal terminal for
both official and social communication.
‘Call
for all' prepaid calling cards can be used from any
Thuraya maritime unit- post paid or prepaid –
as well as from any Thuraya product across Thuraya's
coverage area. The card account is decremented according
to the calls made without charging to the phone's account.

Crew Calling Solution offers uninterrupted satellite
telecommunications services across its entire coverage
area including the Gulf, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean
Sea, the Arabian Sea, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea,
the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, and parts of the Indian
